Dudley Robins say goodbye to former boss

DUDLEY Town paid tribute to former manager Barry Stobart this week who died at the age of 75.
The Robins staged a minute’s silence prior to their game against Wednesfield for the one-time Wolves, Villa, Manchester City and Shrewsbury Town player who took charge of Dudley during the mid 1980’s.
Robins chairman Steve Austin, who worked with Stobart when the club was based at the Round Oak Stadium in Brierley Hill claimed: “Barry was a gentleman who lived for football and it was a pleasure to have known him.
“He was, without doubt, the nicest manager I have worked with and I was really upset on hearing of his passing”.
He leaves a wife. Maureen and sons Sean and Loy, who played for Dudley during Stobart’s stewardship.
