Red House Glass Cone to host its first-ever music festival

MUSIC will be in the air at the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley tomorrow (Sunday September 8).
The Dudley Council run visitor attraction is hosting its first ever musical event, the Stourbridge Folk Festival, running from 4pm to 11pm.
The line-up will include Nizlopi, The New Bushbury Mountain Daredevils, Rory Mcleod. Nick Harper, Jimmy Davis, Sunjay Brayne, Kim Lowings and The Greenwood, The Humdrum Express, The Dirty Old Folkers, Flat Stanley, Jen Robins.
102.5 The ‘Bridge will also be broadcasting from the site all afternoon and there will be real ale and food available all day.
Councillor Tracy Wood, Dudley’s cabinet member for environment and culture, said: “This is the first time we have hosted a music festival at the Red House Glass Cone and I think that this is an excellent choice of venue.
“The audience will be able to wander round this historic site and enjoy music, storytelling and even fire-eating. It’s going to be a hot ticket.”
