Hit show by Bookends due for first Black Country outing in Netherton
3:54pm Friday 6th September 2013 in News
A SHOW by two midlands musicians about one of the world's most famous duos is set for its first Black Country performance.
Dan Haynes and Pete Richards from Stourbridge will be bringing their production of Simon and Garfunkel – Through the Years to Netherton later this month.
The show has already been a hit at theatres, arts centres and town halls around the UK but has never been seen this close to home.
Performing under the name Bookends, Dan and Pete along with a full line up of musicians do not take the stage as a tribute act.
Instead they tell the Simon and Garfunkel story by using video clips and audio snippets of interviews with Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel interspersed with live performances of their songs.
Simon and Garfunkel – Through the Years, which has been hailed as a "must see musical experience" by BBC Radio, will be at Netherton Arts Centre, Northfield Road, on Friday September 20.
