DUDLEY College has bagged a government payout of more than half-a-million pounds to upgrade its facilities.
The whopping £570,083 has come from the College Capital Investment Fund and will be added to £1,140,167 of private investment.
Minister for Skills, Matthew Hancock MP, revealed the cash came from a £550m pot allocated to colleges in greatest need and those with the potential to support growth in the areas they serve.
Chris Kelly, Conservative MP for Dudley South, said: “This great news for the Dudley borough and the Black Country is to be warmly welcomed.
"This shows the government’s continued commitment to providing the right amount of funding to support education and skills here in Dudley and the Black Country which will, ultimately, help our local economy on its way from rescue to recovery.”
