A BRIERLEY Hill man who helped run a cannabis factory from a Worcestershire pub in exchange for some of the drugs produced has admitted his part in the operation.

Mark Flack, aged 32, pleaded guilty to producing a Class B drug at The Steps pub in Stourport during a hearing at Worcester Crown Court today (Thursday).

Around 145 plants were found in a garage behind the pub on April 27, after a patrol officer noticed the smell of cannabis in the area.

The court heard Flack, of Dwellings View, Brierley Hill, joined forces with another man as a favour to him, and received some cannabis as payment.

His basis of plea also said he had nothing to do with setting up the cannabis farm, as that was all down to his friend.

He was released on unconditional bail and will be sentenced on December 16, after a pre-sentence report has been prepared.
