There was plenty of romance by the riverside as the latest I Will wedding show took place at The Holt Fleet near Ombersley.

The attractive hotel, a new addition to the I Will calendar, is set in its own grounds on the banks of the River Severn and has long been a popular wedding venue. On Sunday, a host of budding brides and grooms came along to view the facilities for themselves.

Visitors could also seek advice from the exhibitors showcasing everything from flowers and photography to stationery and music, while a large selection of outfits and accessories from local boutiques were also on display.

Susan Law, owner of The Holt Fleet, was particularly pleased with the event’s success: “This was the first time we’d hosted an I Will show, and we were very happy with how it went – lots of brides were interested in getting married here and we took five provisional bookings on the day! The show was very well organised and advertised, and the exhibitors commented that they’d had plenty of genuine enquiries from visitors.”

The next I Will show takes place this coming Sunday, October 27, at The Copthorne Hotel in Dudley, when the waterfront venue will be packed with all manner of wedding essentials.

The event runs between 11am and 3.30pm, and with plenty of free parking available, you can spend as long as you like browsing the stands. Don’t forget to enter the free prize draw to win goodies including a dream dress from this season’s sponsor, 2 Have & 2 Hold of Kidderminster!

The I Will wedding shows – run by the people behind local newspapers such as The Kidderminster Shuttle, Bromsgrove Advertiser, Redditch Advertiser, Stourbridge News, Halesowen News and Dudley News – bring together an array of services under one roof. This means couples and their families and friends can spend a relaxed and enjoyable day collecting ideas and contacts to help create the perfect wedding.
