BOROUGH families considering adoption have been encouraged to come forward during National Adoption Week.
Dudley Council is hoping to find families for a wide range of children and specifically adopters for brother and sister groups and children with dual heritage backgrounds.
Councillor Tim Crumpton, cabinet member for children's services and lifelong learning, said: “We really need people who can offer a child or children a loving home and supportive family for life. We are looking for people from all walks of life and all ages to come forward to find out more about adoption.
“If you think you might have what it takes, please pick up the phone, have a look at our website or come to one of our regional information events. We will do all we can to help you, to help us.”
National Adoption Week runs until Sunday (November 10) and informal information events will be held on November 13, at Ramada Hotel, Orbital Plaza, Cannock, from 6pm or West Midlands House, Gipsy Lane, Willenhall on November 16 at 1.45pm.
