A MAN in his 60s was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Dudley which caused traffic chaos.
The incident happened at around 7.15am today (December 6) in Peartree Lane, emergency medics were called when the pedestrian suffered arm injuries and a laceration to his head.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Medical Emergency Incident Response Team (MERIT) were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The patient was given pain relief at the scene and immobilised with the use of a head collar and spinal board before being taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further assessment and treatment.”
Drivers suffered delays during the rush hour after the road was closed to allow 999 crews to deal with the incident.
