ELDERLY and vulnerable victims of burglary across Dudley borough will now be eligible for free security packs to keep their home secure during the winter months.

The packs have been donated to the police by Yale UK, Theam Security and ERA Group, which is working with the police and Dudley Council’s Living Well, Feeling Safe Partnership to help ensure that vulnerable residents across the borough are safe and secure in their own homes.

PC Sean Roberts, who is leading the multi-agency venture, said: "This is a great initiative and one that will ensure people are safe in their own homes.

"An assessment will be carried out at each home to ensure the packs are installed at the most appropriate property."

Gemma Attiwell, Business Development manager from Yale UK said: "We are more than happy to help and our primary vision and goal is to raise public awareness of securing their homes and belongings. We are a local business helping to secure local communities."
