Still time to have your say on Dudley Council's budget consultation
4:00pm Tuesday 7th January 2014 in News
HALESOWEN and Cradley residents have until the end of the month to tell cash-strapped Dudley Council which services they most value before decisions are made on where the axe will fall.
The Big Question budget consultation has already attracted more than 1,800 responses.
Dudley finance chiefs, who are currently battling to set a budget against the backdrop of the Government's austerity measures, say they have been delighted with the response so far but are still encouraging more people to have their say.
Councillor Pete Lowe, Dudley's deputy leader and cabinet member for finance, said: "To have engaged nearly 2,000 borough residents in supporting the budget making process is a huge achievement and one we are very proud of as a community council. People still have a few weeks to have their say and let us know which services they value most.”
People can take part in the consultation by logging onto www.dudley.gov.uk or picking up a hard copy form from Dudley Council Plus or borough libraries.
Residents can also find out more by using #dudleybudget on Twitter @dudleymbc and on the Dudley borough Facebook page.
