THIEVES ram-raided a Brierley Hill car repair garage in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police were called to Leonard Engineering, Mill Street, at 4.40am, following reports of a burglary.
The single-storey unit's metal shutters had been rammed, causing structural damage to the pillars either side of the entrance and a small area of the actual building.
Despite the destruction left behind, nothing was taken from the garage.
Firefighters were called by the police at 4.44am, as the building was deemed to be in a "dangerous condition".
A crew from Brierley Hill attended to assess the damage and advised the owner to contact insurers to arrange repairs.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said the burglary is believed to have happened between noon on Saturday and 4.40am on Sunday.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious are urged to call Dudley police on 101.
