The following appeared at Dudley Magistrates Court between January 20-24:

Naghman Mohammed, aged 35, of Green Lane, Gornal, was fined £90 for displaying writing, a sign or other visible representation which was threatening, abusive or insulting within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby, in Dudley on December 3. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

David John Teale, aged 33, of Laurel Lane, Halesowen, was fined £75 for stealing petrol, worth £93.53 from Murco Petrol Station, Netherton, on December 11. He was ordered to pay compensation of £93.53, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Benjamin Herbert, aged 38, of Middlepark Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 15 weeks, suspended for two years for drink driving in Dudley on November 23. When tested he had 157mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for three years and must pay a victim surcharge of £80 and £85 court costs.

Martin Alexander Hughes, aged 42, of Vicarage Road, Amblecote, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing cigarettes and lager, worth £19.18, from Falcon Service Station, Stourbridge, on November 11. He was ordered to pay compensation of £19.18, a victim surcharge of £15 and £85 court costs.

Mark James Jukes, aged 32, of Highgate Road, Netherton, was fined £300 for driving without due care and attention and without insurance, in Cradley on May 17 last year. He was given six penalty points and was ordered to pay compensation of £250, a victim surcharge of £20 and £150 court costs.

Daniel Edward Adrian Lawrence, aged 25, of Derwent Crescent, Dudley, was fined £170 for drink driving in Dudley on January 5. When tested, he had 65mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Carl Andrew Waterworth, aged 30, of Stourbridge Road, Brierley Hill, was fined £110 and disqualified from driving for 17 months for drink driving in Brierley Hill on January 5. When tested he had 62mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Mitchell Conrad Evans, aged 22, of Hay Wharf Road, Pensnett, was fined £110 for damaging a front door window and car in Brierley Hill on January 19. He was ordered to pay compensation of £100, a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 court costs.

Sami Noor, aged 27, of Foxhunt Road, Halesowen, was fined £165 for driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after an accident in Halesowen, on May 7 last year. She was given five penalty points and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £100 court costs.

Ashley Jarrad Reginald Cox, aged 28, of Highbury Avenue, Rowley Regis, was sent to prison for 21 weeks for stealing items worth £1,087.48, from various shops in Brierley Hill between December 3 and January 11, while subject to a community order.

Rebecca Jones, aged 33, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was sent to prison for six weeks for stealing alcohol, worth £88.57, from Co-op, Gornal, on January 21.

Thomas Sidney Morgan, aged 18, of Middlepark Road, Dudley, was given an eight week community order for stealing buckets, worth £57.95, from Pensnett Hardware Store, Pensnett, on January 21. He was given an eight week curfew and for the duration must remain at his home address between 8pm and 6am. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

David Trevor Cottrell, aged 47, of Malvern Crescent, Holly Hall, was fined £240 for drink driving in Brierley Hill on January 8. When tested he had 87mcgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mcgs. He was disqualified from driving for 17 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £24 and £85 court costs.

John Walter Meese Burton, aged 36, of Broom Road, Dudley, was sent to prison for 16 weeks for driving while disqualified in Dudley on January 17. He was disqualified from driving for three years.

Gareth Hughes, aged 31, of Woodland Avenue, Quarry Bank, was given a 12 month community order for assaulting a woman in Quarry Bank on November 30. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and £85 court costs.

Nichola Lyn Moody, aged 38, of Oak Green, Dudley, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for failing to ensure that the needs of a cat were met to the extent required by good practise. She failed to provide the animal with a suitable diet and failed to protect it from pain, suffering, injury and disease as a consequence of it being left unattended in Dudley between October 13 and November 10. She was disqualified from keeping animals for three years and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and £500 court costs.
