A PROLIFIC Dudley crook was nabbed after he was snapped leaving a crime scene carrying a swagbag.

Kyle Kildin and a second man were spotted coming out of a house in Brierley Road Halesowen by two vigilant women who took a photograph of the suspects.

The 25-year-old burglar and his accomplice got away with jewellery and electrical goods but was identified after the photograph was circulated by police and an anonymous caller rang to identify him.

After his arrest he admitted to police he had also raided a house in Northfield Road, Netherton.

At Wolverhampton Crown Court Stuart Clarkson, prosecuting, said Kildin then took police on a tour of the area and he pointed out three other properties he had raided and two others he tried to burgle.

When his home was searched officers found a watch that was part of the haul from the house in Halesowen and they also recovered a stun gun that did not work properly.

Kildin, of Crossley Street, Dudley, when questioned, told police: "I am sorry for what I have done and for the distress I have caused."

He pleaded guilty to two charges of burglary, possessing an offensive weapon and he also asked for six other offences to be taken into consideration including one of handling stolen property.

Recorder Michael Burrows QC jailed him for ten months for the offences and ruled he must also serve a further month for breaching a three month prison sentence suspended for a year imposed for producing cannabis.

Philip Brunt, for Kidlin, said his client maintained he had acted as a look-out on the Halesowen raid and he had been given the watch and £40 in cash.

He said Kildin had "allowed himself to be drawn into chronic cannabis use" but he was now determined to put his life back onto the rails when he was released from custody.
