FIREFIGHTERS are calling for raffle and auction donations to support medics who saved a premature Pensnett baby.

Tiny Daisy-Mae Little has overcome all the odds to survive after being born three-and-a-half months early.

Her dad, firefighter Wayne Little, is leading a campaign to raise £10,000 for neonatal unit at Wolverhampton’s New Cross Hospital as a thank you for saving their daughter.

Staff at West Midlands Fire Service are asking for businesses or organisations to donate prizes for a raffle and silent auction to be held on Saturday March 22 at their headquarters.

Prizes already donated include first-class tickets for Eurostar and a round of golf for four players.

Daisy Mae’s story touched the hearts of thousands of people on Facebook who liked a page set up by Wayne to keep friends and family up to date on her progress.

Anyone who can donate a prize should contact Fire Control watch commander Jayne Reynolds at jayne.reynolds@wmfs.net.
