A 29-year-old man has admitted raiding homes in the Oldbury, Dudley and Wordsley areas and stealing a number of treasured items.

Wayne Porter took jewellery and an iPod from a house in Florence Road, Oldbury, while he stole a TV set from a property in The Broadway, Dudley.

Porter also burgled a house in Marine Crescent, Wordsley, and got away with jewellery, a bag and a coat, Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.

He also raided a house in Portland Road, Kings Heath, Birmingham, and took two First World War medals together with coins and other war memorabilia, which had not been recovered by police.

Porter of Hagley Road, Edgbaston, admitted four charges of burglary and he was remanded until May l for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Judge Martin Walsh was told the raids were carried out by Porter between January 4 and 19 this year.
