DUDLEY people are being urged to learn more about becoming community leaders at events hosted by Dudley Council for Voluntary Service.
The service says spending cuts mean volunteers have to play an increasing role in providing community services and the organisation is planning two free events for people keen to find out more about leading volunteer or charity groups.
The events will take place on Wednesday May 7 and Saturday May 10 at CVS offices in Albion Street, Brierley Hill.
Visitors will be able to find out about how voluntary organisations contribute to communities, their legal commitments and what it means to be a trustee or member of a governing board.
For more information call Dale Pickin of Dudley CVS on 01384 573381.
