A CREATIVE Brierley Hill schoolgirl has been crowned the winner of a national competition to design a birthday card for Prince George.

Lilli-Mai Wheeler's drawing of the Prince in his pram, has been printed onto a card and sent to Clarence House in time for the royal tot's first birthday on Tuesday (July 22).

Brierley Hill Primary School was one of 26 schools that took part in the competition, run by Fat-Chilli art projects.

Talented Lilli-Mai, aged seven, also won a play teepee for her school, a satchel and personalised stamp-kit.

Her teacher, Sam Bridgewood, said: "The children absolutely loved this project. They were so excited to be designing a card for our Prince and they came up with a lot of lovely ideas all on their own."

Fat-Chilli founder, Andrea Redman, added: "Our panel of judges selected Lilli-Mai's design as the winner because the concept was not only a good representation of the theme, but the design was really well executed.

"She had clearly taken time to ensure the spellings and writing was accurate."
