STUDENTS from Milking Bank Primary School left their opponents stumped for ideas after becoming the first from the borough to win a regional cricket tournament.

Years five and six girls from the Aintree Way school won the National Midlands Kwik Cricket Final at King Edwards School in Birmingham to become the first girls team from Dudley borough to win the title. They are also one of only four teams to have won it in the UK this year.

At the event on July 11, the team beat St Peters Primary by 17 runs to be crowned Black Country Games Champions.
