A TWO-day festival just for kids will take place at Merry Hill next week to banish boredom and raise funds for a good cause.

HarryFest will take place from 10am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday (August 8 and 9) on the Eat Central car park.

Youngsters will be entertained with a fun fair, a superhero-themed photo booth, live music, dancing, a roller disco, balloon modelling and face painting.

The festival is part of the centre’s superhero-themed super six-week holiday programme, which provides entertainment every day of the school break.

Kelly Reed, senior marketing manager at Merry Hill, said: “We’re very excited to run our fantastic kids festival. We’ve so much going on and at £2.50 a ticket it’s a great way to entertain the family without breaking the bank.

"And with all proceeds going to Help Harry Help Others, every attendee will be doing their bit for this wonderful cause.”

She added: “We raised more than £35,000 for the charity last year and are keen to raise as much as possible in 2014. We’d encourage shoppers to get their hands on tickets for their little superheroes as soon as possible to avoid disappointment on the day.”

Tickets are available from concierge on the lower mall of the Brierley Hill shopping centre or on the gate on the day of the festival.
