ENGLAND rugby hero Phil Vickery has teamed up with flying medics to help keep lifesaving flights in the air.

The former international star and his Raging Bull clothes brand is joining forces with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to offer charity branded clothing for sale to the public to raise funds to pay for emergency missions.

Midlands Air Ambulance’s aircrew will also don Raging Bull Sportswear as part of their new uniform under their flight suits.

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Raging Bull Sportswear is a rugby heritage clothing brand and on average we airlift people with sporting injuries every three days, a great proportion of which relate to rugby accidents.”

Phil Vickery, who has become a celebrity ambassador for the charity, said: “I am thrilled to be working with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Throughout my career I have been acutely aware of the potentially life-threatening injuries that can take place on the pitch, so I am keen to help raise awareness of this incredibly vital emergency service.”
