MERRY Hill is calling on local foodies to help showcase the tastiest gourmet treats the region has to offer at its artisan food market.

The Brierley Hill shopping centre will host the Great Taste food festival on September 13 and 14 to set a free platform for suppliers specialising in homemade or locally sourced food and drink.

Those that take part can also show off their skills with live demos and offer samples to visitors.

Kelly Reed, senior marketing manager at Merry Hill, said: “We’re so excited to host our artisan food market in September, and we’re on the lookout for local talent to take part.

"Whether you’re the next Mary Berry or a certified cheese connoisseur, we’d love to hear from you, it’s set to be a weekend of gastronomic proportions.”

Those that would like to take part should email UK.MerryHillReception@intu.co.uk with an image of produce and a 50-word explanation of what the store would offer.
