DUDLEY museum is aiming for pre-historic hijinks during a day of dino-events and fossilised fun.

The St James’s Road museum will be hosting a free fossil fun day on Saturday August 30 from 10am to 4pm where young and old alike can enjoy activities inspired by an era long lost to history.

Young visitors will be able to make their own fossils and drop in to storytelling sessions and magic shows which will take place throughout the day.

The Juniors at Museums club will be running dino craft sessions costing £2.25 per child. Children will be able to complete a dinosaur quiz sheet to be in with the chance of winning a prize on the day.

There will also be exhibitors selling a small selection of fossils, jewellery, gems, crystals and minerals.

Visitors will also be able to look around the geology unearthed gallery and the dinosaur gallery, which features an animatronic baby t-rex and other life-sized dinosaur models.
