STORES across Dudley borough are signing up for a new scheme to help shoppers make healthy food choices.
Dudley Council is promoting the Shop Healthy initiative, where convenience stores pledge to stock healthier foods and display them more prominently.
Stores which join the scheme will also be displaying the Shop Healthy logo and providing recipe cards to help customers with meal ideas.
Councillor Rachel Harris, Dudley cabinet member for health, said: “We’ve already had a lot of positive feedback from retailers and are already working with a number of them. This is a great chance for local shops to attract new customers.
“By working closely with retailers we can encourage a wider, healthier range of options available to shoppers.”
