Dudley Council on the lookout for friendly folk
DUDLEY Council’s housing team is on the lookout for friendly folk to help vulnerable borough tenants.
The team’s befriending service one to one and group assistance for people who are lonely, isolated or facing a difficult time.
By involving lonely people in society the group aims to give vulnerable people a more positive outlook by attending a new group, gaining a new interest or making new friends.
Councillor Gaye Partridge, Dudley cabinet member for housing, said: “This service will provide a vital role in today’s society as many people feel isolated and in need of a helping hand.”
