DETECTIVES are appealing for information after An Oldbury travel agent was robbed on Thursday.

Four men entered Thomas Cook, Green Retail Park, in Oldbury just after 7.30pm where they threatened the three members of staff and demanded they hand over cash and foreign currency.

The thieves then left the store in a car which was found abandoned a short time later.

Detective Sergeant Louise Davis, from Sandwell’s investigation team, said: “This must have been extremely upsetting for the staff involved and fortunately although very shaken the staff were unhurt.

“The men are believed to have been wearing dark clothing and face coverings and we continue to trawl CCTV and make enquiries.

“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour before the robbery to come forward."

Anyone with information is urged to call Sandwell CID on 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
