A PURPOSE-built residential home for children with learning disabilities opened this week in Quarry Bank.
Coppice Lodge, which was officially opened on Tuesday (November 11), is a six-bed room facility commissioned by Dudley Council and Dudley CCG, which will provide short term breaks for vulnerable children and their families.
Dr Tim Horsburgh, of Dudley Clinical Commissioning Group, said: "It is a much needed local facility designed to support this group of vulnerable children and young people as well as providing parents/carers with support and a short break."
Cllr Tim Crumpton, Dudley's cabinet member for children's services, added: "This residential unit will provide state-of-the-art facilities and I am delighted local families will be able to access this for daytime and overnight short break stays.”
