BOSSES at Dudley Zoo have given the public a sneak preview of their new £250,000 interactive medieval experience.

The hi-tech feature, called Castle Creatures, is due to open at the 11th century castle next Easter and will tell the story of the Earl of Dudley’s family.

Castle Creatures will use a series of animal exhibits to reveal the history of the medieval site and who people lived in close proximity to species like rats and bats.

Dudley Zoological Gardens CEO, Peter Suddock, said: "It's a most exciting concept and DZG staff have worked alongside designers to create an authentic experience for visitors of all ages.

"The layout includes a unique interactive screen whereby visitors can create their own animals from a gene pool, plus a huge board game telling the story of thriving animals and those facing extinction in the modern world."

The six-month building project is being paid for by the European Regional Development Fund.
