POLICE hunting a man who approached two children in a Netherton park say a distinctive watch may give him away.

Officers have been searching for the man since August after he approached a 12-year-old girl and boy on the skate park on Saltwells Road.

He chatted to the youngsters but they ran off and raised the alarm after his comments became what cops describe as “inappropriate”.

He is described as black, in his 40s and was wearing an Avengers watch that was red and blue in colour and pictured the Hulk and Spiderman on the face.

It is believed he was also wearing a very distinctive bright flowery top and had receding hair and a stubble beard.

A Dudley police spokesperson said: “We appreciate that this incident was some months ago but after extensive enquiries we now need the public to help us identify the man.

“This is an isolated incident and we don’t believe we have had any similar reports, but we feel that someone out there will know who this man is.

“He was wearing a very distinctive almost childlike watch, if you know any adult that matches the description and wears a similar watch then please get in touch.”

Although shaken the children were unhurt and police say they did the right thing by telling an adult immediately.
