SCHOOL'S out for a Lower Gornal headteacher who has been at the helm for eight years.
David Baker bid a fond farewell to pupils and staff at Roberts Primary School on Friday (March 27).
The 60-year-old came to the school in 2007, after successfully leading Withymoor Primary.
Mr Baker said: “I will be very sad to leave Roberts where I have been very happy. The children and staff have been amazing to work with and I am very proud of our achievements together."
Stepping into his shoes will be Dawn Hunt, the current deputy head, who Mr Baker wished "every success in the future".
He plans to spend his retirement travelling in his new campervan with his wife Linda.
