THIS Friday sees the return of movie star Warwick Davis to TV screens as he and his family stop off at Dudley’s Black Country Living Museum as part of their Weekend Escapes series.

The Return of the Jedi and Willow star visited the Tipton Road museum last August to film scenes for the show which follows the actor and his family as they travel around the UK in their trusty camper van to discover the best of Great Britain.

The Davis clan donned Victorian outfits and took part in WWI activities during their visit to the museum - which was part of a stop off in the Midlands to see if Central England could rival St Tropez as a getaway destination.

Laura Wakelin, director of communications and marketing said: “Welcoming Warwick Davis to BCLM last summer was an absolute pleasure. Not only was he passionate about the story we tell here at the museum but he was also only too happy to talk to our visitors and staff.

"For me, the real highlight was the willingness of the whole family to get dressed up and join in with the activities we were holding on site, particularly the WWI drill.”

The museum features in the first episode of the new ITV series which is due to air on Friday April 17 at 8pm.
