CRADLEY Heathens swooped in the final heat to secure victory over visitors Eastbourne Eagles at Perry Barr last night.
Just like their opening league fixture a fortnight ago, the contest went right to the wire once more.

HARRIERS assistant boss Mark Creighton hailed the leadership qualities of Jared Hodgkiss after his cup winning heroics.
The reliable right-back capped a fine week by bagging the winner as the Reds defeated Worcester City 2-1 at Aggborough to seal the Worcestershire Senior Cup for the first time in five years.
Creighton also revealed the right back is contracted to Harriers next season after triggering an appearance-based contract extension.
DUDLEY Town are not planning to run an under-21 side next season after coach Mark Phillips left to become manager at Stourport Swifts.
Phillips took up the hotseat at Walshes Meadow last week after guiding the young Robins to cup glory this campaign.
Town chairman Steve Austin said Phillips’ departure from the club was a “blow”.
