AVENGERS star Robert Downey Jr has walked out of an interview with Channel 4′s Krishnan Guru-Murthy after being quizzed about his family and previous problems with drugs and alcohol.

The actor, who plays Iron Man in the new film Avengers: Age Of Ultron, seemed puzzled by some of the journalist’s questions and at one point asked Guru-Murthy: “Are we promoting a movie?”

The actor, who spent time in prison and had a very public drug problem, was also asked about his relationship with his father and said:”I’m sorry, I really don’t … what are we doing?” He then walked out.

Downey Jr is not the first Hollywood star to be upset by Guru-Murthy’s interview technique – last year director Quentin Tarantino objected to his line of questioning.

E4 is shutting down on election day (May 7) to get young people to vote.

Channel 4’s less-than-serious sister channel is the number one station for 16 to 34 year olds, attracting 5.20 per cent of that viewing demographic.

It’s believed to be the first time a channel has shut down to encourage people to vote, and E4 believes it is perfectly positioned to encourage young people to go to the polls.

SAM Smith has moved into the top 20 richest young musicians in the UK and Ireland.

The Stay With Me singer, 22, is reckoned to have a personal fortune of £12 million, and is the only newcomer to this year’s Young Musicians Rich List compiled by The Sunday Times.

While in the list of the top 40 music millionaires – headed by Sir Paul McCartney – Calvin Harris has made his debut.

The Scottish DJ is a new entry in rankings having amassed an estimated £70 million fortune at the tender age of 31.
