DUDLEY Zoo’s black and white ruffed lemur Yoda is in a patriotic mood to mark St George’s Day - and his 13th birthday.

As well as flying the St George’s flag at the top of the Dudley Castle, the zoo’s upper primates keepers have raised the flag in its monkey house to celebrate Yoda becoming a teenager.

Section leader Pat Stevens said: “Yoda is always up for joining in with anything new happening on site and took great interest in the St George’s flag we were putting up for his birthday today.”

Zoo director Derek Grove added: "The raising of the St George’s flag is part of a tradition at DZG and we are all very proud to see it fly from one of the Midlands' best-loved landmarks."
