AROUND 50 firefighters are tackling a huge blaze at a plastics firm in Oldbury this afternoon.
Plumes of thick smoke can be seen for miles around coming from a property in Tat Bank Road, Langley, believed to be plastics firm Teknor Apex.
Fifteen fire appliance are fighting the blaze after the alarm was raised shortly after 1.20pm.
Tat Bank Road is closed at Popes Lane and Wellesley Road - on the Oldbury side of the M5 due to the fire.

Witnesses are reporting hearing loud bangs.
Oldbury Police have tweeted to say that an evacuation is in progress and people should avoid the area.
They are also advising the public to stay clear of the area, and to keep windows closed.
