Police are warning residents not to approach a Droitwich man, who is wanted for questioning, but to contact them immediately instead.

35-year-old John Rowberry is currently wanted for questioning by West Mercia Police in relation to a number of offences related to thefts from shops, and they have issued an appeal for information regarding his whereabouts.

As nerves become frayed an ugly political spat has erupted between the two camps over Mr Morris' campaign literature and his record as MP for the last five years.

Belle Vale Labour councillors Donella Russell and Ian Cooper accused Mr Morris of taking credit for their work in getting new streetlights in the ward.

A Kidderminster man sentenced to 15 months custody for sex offences against a 13-year-old girl will be released in a few weeks, Worcester Crown Court was told.

For Thomas Lloyd-Perks had been held on remand in a young offenders institution waiting for his case to come before the court, said his barrister Abigail Nixon.

The 20-year-old, of Worcester Road, had pleaded guilty in September last year to sexual activity with the girl and taking indecent photographs of her genitals.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a burglary of a barn in Alvechurch.

Items including a circular saw, drill, generator, sander, jigsaw and ladders were stolen from the barn, on Rectory Lane, during the burglary which happened at approximately 4am on Saturday, April 25

Since then all of the items have been recovered.

A Sedgley woman who left hundreds of brides-to-be in the lurch when she gambled away money she had been paid to “add gloss” to their weddings has been jailed.

Sarah Cawthorne, who ruined the special day of couples across the country, also splashed out customers cash on an expensive family holiday to Florida.

The mother-of-two who pocketed in excess of £30,000 advertised her wedding services on Facebook and on her own A Little Bit of Bling website.

Police are investigating a collision on a Bromsgrove road in which a motorcyclist suffered hand and shoulder injuries.

The collision between a BMW motorbike and a white Citreon Berlingo van happened at 4.30pm on Friday, April 24, on the roundabout at the junction of M42, Birmingham Road and Alcester Road.

After being in a life-threatening car crash less than two years ago, a Lye woman is now hoping to re-pay the air ambulance crew that saved her.

Lucy Dawkins, a PE teacher at Haybridge High School, ran 26.2 miles around the streets of the capital at the weekend to complete the London Marathon in aid of Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance as well as Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.
