A CHARITY is looking for volunteers with DIY skills to help older people in Dudley remain safe in their homes.
Figures show that around 30 per cent adults over 65 will experience at least one fall a year, rising to 50 per cent of adults over 80.
Volunteers at Age UK Dudley's Staysafe Service aims to remove the risk of falls with by securing rugs and carpets, replacing poor lighting and installing new grab rails.
Recently the demand for the service has increased so the charity has appealed for retired tradespeople or those who consider themselves talented in the DIY department to get in touch.
