FAMILIES can enjoy a range of free activities at Priory Park this half term.

The sessions are being run as part of the park’s Heritage Lottery Funded programme from Dudley Council and The Friends of Priory Park.

Youngsters can make and print a medieval tile tomorrow (Wednesday May 27), from 1.30pm.

Booking is essential for this event and can be done by calling 01384 812474.

There will be fun for the adults on Thursday (May 28) with a historical plants gardening session, running from 1.30pm, giving people the chance to make their own herb pots to take away and learn about medicinal plants.

Sporty youngsters can enjoy the bib and balls multi sports fun Friday (May 29) from 2pm to 4pm.

Parents are asked to come to park to complete consent forms but can then leave children to enjoy the activity.

There will also be a mini pond making session on Sunday (May 31) at 1.30pm where children can create and make a pond to take home with them.

Councillor Hilary Bills, cabinet member elect for environment, said:“The Whitsun sessions at Priory Park offer the perfect chance to keep busy in a beautiful and historical location.

“We offer a wide range of activities in our parks, nature reserves and leisure centres during the school holidays to help keep children and young people active.”

People taking part in any of the sessions should meet at the Priory Park pavilion building near the tennis courts.
