A MAN injured after a car ploughed into his parked Peugeot 206 in Dudley has died.

The man in his 40s, who has not been officially named, was taken to hospital with head injuries after a red Volkswagen Polo crashed into his car as he was getting into it at around 3pm on Saturday June 20.

But he has since lost his fight for life - it was confirmed this afternoon (Monday).

A woman and two children were also hurt in the smash in Oakham Road, but are believed to have suffered only minor injuries.

The driver of the Polo was uninjured and has been interviewed by police.

Meanwhile officers from the Collision Investigation Unit continue to appeal for witnesses to the incident, which left the road closed for several hours.
