WEST Midlands Fire Service broadcasted a live rescue of a dog from a drain in Oldbury last night (Sunday, June 28).

Officers from the fire service used live video streaming app Periscope to showcase their rescuing skills to the public.

The dog was successfully rescued from the drain by the service's Technical Rescue Unit at about 9.30pm last night.

Both the crew and the pooch came out of the incident safe and well and were returned to their owners.
