A man has been jailed for five years for stabbing another man in a New Years' Eve brawl in a Worcestershire pub.

Fighting broke out when two groups of men met in the Old Crown in Stourport-on-Severn, Worcester Crown Court was told.

Jai Redding has been sentenced to five years in prison for the stabbing.

A man who walked into a steel processing plant's warehouse and climbed on top of a crane sparked an emergency incident in Dudley.

The emergency services were alerted after the man, aged in his 50s, arrived on the premises of Servosteel in Pensnett Road, opposite Russells Hall Hospital, yesterday afternoon.

West Midlands Police force negotiators talked the man down from the crane.

A driver that ran a car off the road and failed to stop was then involved in a second crash less than an hour later.

The road rage incident with the driver of a Vauxhall Singum happened on the A449 at Powick at around 10pm on July 14.

The second crash happened in Upton Road, Clevelode, near Callow End, just 40 minutes later.

A Rowley Regis man is among suspects detained by police in an operation to target alleged child sex offenders.

The allegations are all connected to sexual exploitation of two teenage boys in 2009 and 2010 who were abused by a group of men who befriended them.
