ONE Direction members have broken the band’s silence over rumours about their future, vowing: “We are not splitting up.”

Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne told fans on Twitter the four-piece, also featuring Harry Styles, would just be taking a “break”.

It came after a report in The Sun that the pop stars are set to go their separate ways in March.

A top BBC executive has spoken out following the departure of singer and coach Sir Tom Jones from The Voice.

The BBC’s head of television, Danny Cohen, said he was “sorry” that Sir Tom was “upset” after the Welsh singer recently hit out at what he called “sub-standard behaviour” from “the executives” following his departure from the show.

He told fans he had only been informed 24 hours before the new coaches were announced that he would not be returning.

Jackass star Steve-O is facing five criminal charges after he climbed a crane in Hollywood to protest over SeaWorld and drew dozens of emergency responders to a construction site earlier this month.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the city of Los Angeles will also seek financial restitution for the cost of the police and fire response.

Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, faces charges including creating a false emergency and trespassing.

The Strictly Come Dancing conga line just got longer as singer Jamelia is confirmed as the twelfth celebrity on the show.

The BBC’s director of television, Danny Cohen, announced the news ahead of this year’s Edinburgh International Television Festival.

Jamelia said: “My girls are huge fans of Strictly, but when I told them I was doing it they laughed as they know that dancing is not my forte.”

TV medium Colin Fry has died at the age of 53.

The spiritualist, who appeared on Most Haunted, Psychic Private Eyes and 6ixth Sense With Colin Fry, was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in April this year.

His manager David Hahn said: “He had a very big heart."
