STOURBRIDGE Town Hall was treated to a celebrity-packed blast from the past at the reunion of the Red Lemon Electric Blues Band.

TV presenters and former band members Adrian Chiles and Suzi Perry were special guests for the gigs, on September 11 and 12, to mark 30 years since the group was at the peak of its powers.

Crowds topping a total of 1,000 people turned out for the two-night rhythm and blues extravaganza to watch members of the band’s original line up perform classics including songs from the film which was their inspiration – The Blues Brothers.

The TV duo took to the stage to introduce the band before the group, which included musicians who perform with leading stars including Jamiroquai.

The Red Lemon’s became well-known in the 80s when they appeared on TV and toured the UK with major artists including Chuck Berry, Robert Plant and Edwin Starr.
