DUDLEY Museum is facing closure as part of the cash-strapped council's plans to make savings of £20million over the next three years - but do you think this is the right thing to do?
Finance boss Councillor David Sparks said the treasures within the popular tourist attraction could be exhibited elsewhere, allowing the authority to sell off the building for development into offices or new homes.
Sedgley councillor Bill Etheridge has slammed the plans, saying he "could not begin to fathom the priorities of a council intent on destroying Dudley as a tourist destination".
He added: “Dudley Museum houses an extremely significant geological exhibition."
