A BOSTIN' business that was born in a Black Country pub in between sips of ale and bags of pork scratchings has set up shop in Dudley.

The new venture has not only seen TeeT Shirts say 'tara a bit' to the Cradley Heath base it called home for the last eight years but also its name.

Rebranding as Black Country T-Shirts, the firm will officially open its new store in Castle Street tomorrow (Saturday), where it will sell hoodies, t-shirts, bags, caps and tea towels featuring a range of favourite local phrases.

People are being encouraged to '"come and 'ave a loff" at the grand opening, which will feature on-site live broadcast by Black Country Radio and music from The Empty Can and Jonny Cole.

Free Black Country stickers will also be given away and there will be the chance to win a 10inch tablet at the store from 9am to 4pm.

Shop manager Stephen Pitts is excited for the new venture and said he was drawn to Dudley as the new store was much bigger and the town "seems really vibrant", adding: "The reaction has been brilliant so far, we've been trading for a couple of days and we've had so many people popping in."

Although many people will know the company by its former name thanks to its popular YouTube videos for The Black Country Alphabet and the Black Country Christmas Song - which have been viewed over half a million times - Stephen said it was time for a change, adding: "We wanted the name to represent what we do and create a brand for the Black Country at the same time."
