GOOD morning. We are here to provide any information on incidents that might crop up throughout the rush hour period this morning on our Black Country and North Worcestershire roads.

So far the roads across the area are pretty quiet but a lorry which has caught fire at junction 3 of the M42 in Portway has caused the A435 to be closed, and traffic heading southbound from Wythall.

Traffic is also queuing on the A450 on Hatlebury, both ways at A449 at Black Bridge due to a flooded road. Drivers are being warned to approach with care.

There are also other areas of planned roadworks which are causing delays, these include: temporary traffic lights in Bromsgrove on A448 Kidderminster Road between Perryfields Road / Whitford Road and Monsieurs Hall Lane, near the M5 overbridge until February 17, while delays are also expected on A451 Stourport Road in Kidderminster at Clee Avenue until February 12.

Delays are also being caused in Quarry Bank due to roadworks on A4100 High Street between Victoria Road and Merry Hill. The work is taking place there to improve traffic lights and bus shelters in a bid to ease congestion around the Merry Hill shopping centre until June 30.

Temporary traffic lights on Birchfield Road in Redditch, at Foxlydiate Lane outside The Old Post Office are also causing delays, while one lane closed on the A4123 New Birmingham Road in Tividale between Trafalgar Road and Hill Road / Regent Road due to the building of a new cycle path.
