COUPLES from across the Diocese of Worcester area are invited to renew their wedding vows at Worcester Cathedral this Valentine’s Day.

A short celebration service will be held at 6.30pm this Sunday (February 14) – offering couples chance to re-commit their relationships.

This year, the service is being organised by three curates from parishes around the Diocese who have designed a simple celebration with a couple of hymns which can be enjoyed by everyone.

Sam Setchell, from the Diocese of Worcester, said the service is open to all including couples who may not have originally married in church.

She added: “It’s a great way to start the celebrations of St Valentine’s Day.”

Couples will exchange wooden hearts as part of the 30-minute service and there will be Fairtrade chocolate hearts given out at the end.
