A MUM was shocked when she arrived home from a family day out to a rude missed delivery note, The News Shopper reports.

Kim Thursfield, a performing arts teacher from Bromley, had ordered some nappies online but had gone out for the day with her husband Matthew and daughter Alana.

When she got back a Hermes courier had delivered her parcel to a neighbour's house, and left her a rude note.

The note said: "Left at [house number] 22. Maybe you should stop ordering online as you are never there."

Mrs Thursfield said: "I was not expecting that.

"Yesterday we had been out because my husband works in education and it was his first day of the summer holidays.

"I don't think it is any of the delivery driver's business, I shop online all the time, everything is done online, especially when you're on the go."

A spokesman for Hermes said: "The remarks left on the card are clearly unacceptable and we would like to apologise to Mrs Thursfield for any upset and inconvenience this may have caused.

"As a result the courier involved has had his round suspended pending a full investigation."
