VISITORS to Dudley will benefit from the 21 additional car parking spaces that have been created in the town.
Dudley Council has created nine spaces on Stone Street to allow people to park for free for one hour.
In New Mill Street, an unused and redundant pay and display car park has been brought back into use, providing 12 spaces, including one disabled bay.
Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member for planning and economic development, said: “This is further great news for the town, its visitors and traders. Through providing this additional car parking, we hope to encourage more people into the town centre, which will continue to support the economic growth of the borough and support businesses.
“We’re committed to working hard to create more and more additional parking in the town including the development of a new car park on Tower Street which will provide a further 90 spaces in the town.”
