A SCHOOL in Brockmoor went into emergency lockdown at lunchtime following a "credible threat" regarding the safety of a family of children.
Youngsters at Brockmoor Primary School were brought in from the playground and the school gates and doors were closed and manned by staff.
However headteacher, Mr Jones, told the News that after seeking clarification from West Midlands Police, it turned out to be a false alarm.
The lockdown lasted around 45 minutes.
