BLACK Country poets The Nailmakers’ Daughters will be appearing at Kingswinford Library to mark National Poetry Day.
The three poets, Emma Purshouse, Iris Rhodes and Marion Cockin, who take their inspiration from the industrial landscape and domestic traditions of the Black Country, will be appearing at the library on Thursday October 6 from 6pm.
Councillor Rachel Harris, Dudley’s cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “Each of the Nailmakers’ Daughters has a very different voice but all three are deeply rooted in the history of the area and the richness and diversity of the Black Country is captured in their poetry.”
The trio have recently celebrated the release of a collection of verse, published by Offa’s Press Admission to the poetry event is £3 including refreshments.
